High on the hills overlooking rolling farmland and native bush, and wonderfully situated to view the rising and setting sun, a stay at Top of the Hill Country Homestay will never be forgotten.
Our spacious home was designed with the comfort of the international traveller in mind.
Each guest room features spectacular views over the beautiful green farming valley of Brookby-Clevedon, which embodies the peace and beauty of the New Zealand countryside.
Relax in the lounge, drink in the views, or wander outside for the pure country air, nature’s tranquillity and the magnificent Milky Way night sky.
Top of the Hill's wonderful elevation provides amazingly clear views for 50 kilometres beyond Auckland's volcanic peaks to Rangitoto Island in the Hauraki Gulf. Closer at hand are wild bush landscapes, which offer the occasional thrill of a bird of prey floating past your bedroom window.
The scenic drive from the Southern Motorway to Top of the Hill takes just 10 minutes, and we are only 25 minutes from downtown Auckland or the international airport.
The guest wing has 3 luxuriously large bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, and floor to ceiling landscape windows encompassing scenes of picture postcard beauty. One room offers a super-king sized bed, the second has a king sized bed and the third, 2 comfortable twin beds.
Amenities include a guest kitchen with dish washer, fridge, microwave, electric fry pan, griller, toaster, table and chairs, washing machine, iron and ironing board.
A country homestay isn't complete without some friendly farm animals and guests are welcome to meet our Highland cattle Hokey Pokey and Icecream and our cute Kune Kune pigs Cleo and Patra.
