Breakers Boutique Accommodation
Breakers is stunningly located on the Punakaiki Coastline between Punakaiki and Greymouth, overlooking the Tasman Sea. Breakers is 30kms south of the Pancake Rocks at Punakaiki and 14kms north of Greymouth.
Set on 2 acres of native bush and landscaped gardens Breakers has its own private track to the secluded Nine Mile beach below. Take a walk on the beach, view the waterfall, fossick in the rock pools or meander amongst the stones and the driftwood. If you are lucky, you can even find your own piece of jade (Pounamu) washed up on the beach.
Guest rooms all have ensuite bathrooms, indoor seating area, outdoor balcony/deck access with outdoor seating and fantastic sea views. Guests can lie in bed and watch the rolling surf and be lulled to sleep by the sound of the breaking waves. Sit back, relax and enjoy the sea views and watch the sun setting over the Tasman Sea.
Al Fresco dining is available at Breakers with in-house menu and local beer and wine list. Guests can relax at the end of their day and make the most of the fantastic views and surroundings at Breakers without having to worry about any more driving. Eat in the comfort of your room, or out on the balcony and watch the sun go down.
Jan has a good knowledge of the area and the South Island and has helpful information on things to see and do in the area. Jan helps with sightseeing suggestions for your drive to Breakers and your drive onwards for the remainder of your holiday.
Start your new day with a hearty breakfast in the main house with views out over the sea. Continential and cooked options available using a selection of homemade and local produce.
Two friendly dogs are on site who are happy to help with guests requiring holiday dog fixes. The boys do have their own area and we do our best not to have them intrude on guest privacy unless requested.
Breakers is proudly rated Qualmark Green Enviro-Silver and actively works to reduce their impact on the environment and the beautiful surroundings. We invite our guests to help to do the same. We also work with the West Coast Blue Penguin Trust with the local stoat trapping programme and donations, you are welcome to join us.
