Most of Taupo townships' outlook is into the prevailing Sou'Westerly airflow. Acacia Bays' aspect by comparison, is Nor'Easterly and sheltered by high ground behind, which combines to create a unique micro-climate.
We are fortunate to live in this 'relatively wind-chill free' zone and we invite you to share it with us!
A 5min. drive from Taupo I/Site thru attractive farmland beside the lake takes you away from traffic noise, and about all you wil hear when you arrive at our character-filled home, will be the sound of the Tuis and Bellbirds in the Kowhai and Banksia trees.
Take in the ambience, the panoramic views of lake,town, mountain and farmland. The night lights, reflections, and moonrise over the lake are simply beautiful. Relax in our solar-heated pool after your days' travel. An excellent restaurant is a mere 3 min. walk towards the lake.
Altho we can accommodate 2 couples, our preference is just one to enable us to give you our undivided attention.
Alan is a retired tour guide and experienced fly-fisherman and is happy to discuss your daily tour activities over a delectable continental breakfast with home-made bread. Jeanette is a wonderful hostess and between us you may be assured of a very warm welcome and a memorable stay.
