Peka Peka Beach Chalet B&B
Kia Ora, Welcome, Herzlich Willkommen to our Chalet B&B in Peka Peka.
Peka Peka Beach is a wonderful safe swimming and surfing beach, with great sunsets, where you can walk, surf, ride your horse, relax, or just listen to the ocean and the birds sing!
We have a very private 3-1/2 acre ocean front property with direct access to the beach. From our Chalet B&B you have direct access to the beach! The Chalet is a private, quiet, two room suite, which is detached from the main house. The bedroom has twin beds and the sitting room a pullout queen couch.
• We speak German and have lived and travelled overseas for an extended time.
• Coffee and tea facilities are in the room and for breakfast we offer our gourmet German or Farm Brekkie or how you want it - served in the main house or on the patio, weather permitting.
• Our beach is accessible for horses all year round, so bring your own horse or we are happy to arrange beach horse treks for you.
• There is plenty of private and secure parking even for a camper van or a horse truck!
Only an hour from Wellington to the south and Palmerston North to the north makes this an ideal place to base yourself for your stay in the southern North Island. We have a micro-climate here at the beach which ranks among the best in NZ; often it can be sunny and warm here while windy and wet in Wellington.
There are nice restaurants and cafés in walking or biking distance, and there are numerous activities easily accessible here on the coast - in addition to the usual beach activities of swimming, surfing, boating, fishing, etc there is world class golfing, kayaking, tramping/hiking, bird watching, river tubing, horse treks, bush walks, and nature reserves to explore. The vineyards of Martinborough can be easily enjoyed in a day trip. We are happy to help you with your bookings and choice of activities in the area.
There are 5 golf courses in close proximity to us -- courses at Waikanae, Otaki, Levin, Kapiti and the top 100 internationally ranked links course at Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club where Tiger Woods made his NZ debut at the NZ Open.
