Application & Assessment process - New Member.
As a non-member or visitor to this site you can access these available downloads.
Read and research our booklet and confirm that you really want to become a "Guest & Hosted" operator and establish that you are eligible for membership.
Make application with the form (download application form or contact the secretary).
Make yourself aware of the assessment policies and criteria (read or download the document, and/or contact the ).
Understand the assessment process - new member/existing member - contact the for details on assessment criteria or download the assessment schedule.
Our association represents some 650 member properties throughout New Zealand. The purpose of this web site is to:
- enable travellers and other members of the public to contact our members and find Quality accommodation.
- provide information about our association so that prospective members can research the matter of becoming a host for paying guests.
- provide a resource for our members.
Publications
We have an excellent booklet entitled 'Home Hosting Ideas and Suggestions for Getting Started'. To order this send a cheque for $8 and your address to Jenny Hoffman, P O Box 5167, Greenmeadows, Napier.
Other Sources of Information
There are regional @home NEW ZEALAND groups, and their members are a good point of contact for local information, advice and experience in the industry. Starting out can have some pitfalls and it is a good idea to get as much information as possible.
@home NEW ZEALAND holds an annual conference in a different region. Many hosts have started after attending one of these informative and worthwhile conference.
